NCD continues collaboration with Linden to the Mabura Hill Road Upgrade team.

Officers of the National Commission on Disability moments ago met with the Community Liaison Officer of the Linden to Mabura Hill Road Upgrade Project Ms. Lauren Burch-Smith Fraser.

The meeting discussed Sensitization Training Sessions to be held with the three levels of staff on the road project. Namely, Contractors, Engineers, and the Project Management Team.
These staff are expected to be sensitized on the Guyana Disability ACT, NCD's Roles & Functions under the ACT, and Disability Etiquette.

The possible employment of Persons with Disabilities on the road project was also discussed.
NCD has been collaborating with the Linden to Mabura Road Upgrade Project since its initial consultation phase in 2020.
